moll QI-Charger
Bye bye cable, hello induction.
Developer spirit and engineering skills - this is what moll has stoodfor at least since its invention of the height-adjustable children's desk in 1974. Since then, moll has repeatedly realized new innovative ideas and brought them to market.
The latest coup was achieved by the in-house development department with the QI-Charger for the moll T7, moll T5 and moll Champion models.
Everyday life in the digital age is dominated by a range of smart assistants - both at work and at home. However, they only reveal their full potential when they are charged and all too often the nearest power supply is out of sight or can only be reached by meters of cable. Solving this problem in an elegant way is moll's declared aim by integrating the QI charger into the tabletop. Gone are the days when different devices required their own cables for charging. No more fiddling with cables. The optional QI-Charger enables "invisible" wireless charging of electronic devices via induction.
The QI charger can be easily integrated into the tabletop. To do this, it is mounted in the pre-installed device in the tabletop and plugged into the mains. As soon as a device is placed on the charger, it transmits the power through the tabletop and the device starts charging. For the smartphone to charge wirelessly, it must be placed directly on the charging station. The reason for this is that the coils in the smartphone and in the charger must lie directly on top of each other. However, this only works if the smartphone is close enough to the charger. There must not be more than three millimeters between the charger and the smartphone. As soon as the device is charged, the transmitter and receiver switch to standby mode. This has the great advantage that the QI charging station only transmits energy when a compatible device that requires energy is on the charging station.
More and more cell phones now support the QI standard for wireless charging. You can find the list of current QI-capable cell phones here.
