Warranty Terms and Conditions of moll GmbH (Effective December 1, 2024)

Quality and durability are essential components of our corporate philosophy, which we ensure through timeless design and the use of high-quality materials in manufacturing. Subject to the following terms and conditions, we offer moll who purchase our products from authorized dealers or directly from moll a 3-year manufacturer’s warranty in addition to the statutory 2-year warranty. This warranty is in addition to the statutory warranty rights to which the customer is entitled against their direct seller and which the customer may exercise free of charge; these statutory rights are not limited by this warranty.

This warranty is governed by German law.

1. Products and components covered

1.1
moll GmbH, Rechbergstraße 7, DE-73344 Gruibingen (moll) moll products purchased from authorized dealers or directly from moll will be free from defects in materials and workmanship.

1.2
This warranty applies to all moll that the customer has moll new from an authorized dealer or directly from moll , provided that none of the following exclusions apply.

1.3
The warranty does not cover: wear parts (e.g., rollers, glides) and upholstery materials (e.g., textiles), as well as electrical and electronic assemblies and devices. If the defect is due to wear and tear, improper use, operating errors, or external forces (e.g., breaks, scratches, abrasion, etc.), or was caused by unusual environmental influences (e.g., extreme climatic conditions, acid, moisture, etc.). Likewise, if the product was not assembled, maintained, or operated in accordance with our assembly, operating, and care instructions. The respective operating manuals/instructions are included with the product or can be moll on the moll website. Some product series feature components made of real wood. Wood is a natural product that can change, discolor, or fade over time. This is particularly true when exposed to light or water, but can also occur due to the use of unsuitable cleaning agents. Heat and drying out can lead to the formation of cracks or breaks in the wood. Such damage is not covered by this warranty.

Quality and durability are essential components of our corporate philosophy, which is characterized by timeless design and the use of high-quality materials in manufacturing.  Subject to the following conditions, we offer moll who purchase our products from authorized dealers or directly from moll manufacturer’s warranty of 3 years from the date of purchase, in addition to the 2-year statutory warranty to which the consumer is entitled from the seller. This warranty is in addition to the statutory warranty rights to which the customer is entitled against their direct dealer and which the customer can claim free of charge; these statutory rights are not restricted by this warranty.

This warranty is governed by German law.

1. Included products and components

moll GmbH, Rechbergstraße 7, DE-73344 Gruibingen (moll) guarantees that products purchased from authorized dealers or directly from moll will be free from defects in materials and workmanship.

1.2
The warranty applies to all moll purchased by the customer as new from an authorized dealer or directly from moll, provided that none of the following exclusions apply.

The warranty claim is excluded for: wear parts (e.g., casters, gliders) and cover materials (e.g., textiles), as well as electrical and electronic assemblies and devices. If the defect is due to wear and tear, improper use, operating errors, or external forces (e.g., breakage, scratches, abrasion, etc.), or if it is caused by unusual environmental influences (e.g., extreme weather conditions, acid, moisture, etc.). This also applies if the product has not been assembled, maintained, or operated in accordance with our assembly, operating, and care instructions. The respective operating instructions are supplied with the product or can be viewed on the moll website. Some product series feature real wood components. Wood is a natural product that can change, discolor, or fade over time, particularly when exposed to light or water, or due to the use of unsuitable cleaning products. Heat and drying out can cause cracks or fractures to form in the wood. Such deterioration is not covered by this warranty.

2. Warranty Period

2.1
The warranty period begins on the date of purchase of moll from authorized dealers or directly from moll  ends 5 years after the purchase date, which must be documented by the customer.

2.2
The warranty expires no later than 6 years after the moll was manufactured.

2.3
The warranty period is not extended by the use or provision of warranty services.

The warranty claim expires no later than 6 years after the moll was manufactured.

3. Scope of Application

The rights under this warranty apply exclusively to consumers.

4. Geographic Scope

4.1
Claims under this warranty may be made in all countries where moll is represented either moll or through authorized dealers.

The claims under this warranty apply exclusively to consumers.

4. Territorial scope of application

4.1
Claims arising from this warranty may be enforced in all countries where the company moll represented either directly or through authorized dealers.

5. Scope of Warranty Claims

5.1
moll will, moll its sole discretion and at its own expense, remedy any material or workmanship defects that arise during the warranty period by repairing the product or supplying new or refurbished parts.

5.2
We reserve the right to make changes to the structure, finish, and color of replacement parts supplied under this warranty compared to display models or furniture components from the same series. This is particularly the case when such differences are inherent in the nature of the materials used.

5. Scope of the warranty claims

5.1
Any defects in materials or workmanship that arise during the warranty period will be remedied by moll its discretion and expense, through repair or the delivery of new or refurbished parts.

5.2
We reserve the right to make changes to the structure, finish, and color of the replacement parts supplied under this warranty compared to display models or furniture components from a particular series. This is particularly the case if such differences are due to the nature of the materials used.

6. Procedure for Making a Warranty Claim

6.1
The consumer must assert the rights under this warranty in writing to moll GmbH (Rechbergstraße 7, DE-73344 Gruibingen,moll) within the warranty period.

6.2
Claims may also be filed through the authorized dealer from whom the product was purchased. In this case, a warranty claim against moll timely if the dealer receives the claim within the warranty period.

5.3
To make a warranty claim, the following information and documentation are required: a description of the damage or defect, the model name and serial number of the affected piece of furniture, the date of purchase, the seller’s name, and a copy of the invoice.

6. Enforcing the guarantee

6.1
The consumer must submit a written claim under this warranty to moll GmbH (Rechbergstrasse 7, DE-73344 Gruibingen, moll) within the warranty period (an email is sufficient).

6.2
Warranty claims may also be submitted through the authorized dealer from whom the product was purchased. In this case, the warranty claim is considered to have been submitted to moll a timely manner if the dealer receives the claim within the warranty period.

6.3
The following information and documentation are required to claim under the warranty: a description of the damage or defect, the model name and serial number of the affected piece of furniture, the date of purchase, the name of the seller, and a copy of the invoice.
